Background and Experience
Jeremy is a business and corporate law attorney, who serves as outside counsel to new and established social enterprises, startups, and nonprofits in California. Jeremy has advised his clients on a range of matters, including company formations, founders share issuance, nonprofit governance, employment law compliance, business transactions, and intellectual property matters.
Before starting his law practice, Jeremy conducted legal research for judges of the San Mateo County Superior Court, and later worked with a plaintiffs-side litigation firm in the Bay Area. As a law clerk with a disability rights organization located in the East Bay, Jeremy assisted in successfully litigating a class action case to a settlement with the federal government on behalf of persons living with visual impairment.
Jeremy earned his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, where he worked on community issues concerning educational access and environmental justice. He later earned his law degree from UCLA School of Law. During law school, Jeremy served as Chief Comments Editor of the Asian Pacific American Law Journal, and studied areas of law that are important to him: community economic development, corporations, and civil rights.

Better Client Service – Initial 30-minute consultations are complimentary. Existing clients can schedule phone meetings during after-business hours on weekdays from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Jeremy also works remotely with clients located outside of the San Francisco Bay Area. Clients are continuously updated on the progress of their case or project, and are never left in the dark.
Social Entrepreneurship – Jeremy supports social entrepreneurs by regularly using the products and services of B Corp-certified businesses. In addition, he strives to regularly volunteer his time to social causes and his legal services to underserved communities. He has also been a guest speaker at the Social Enterprise & Economic Empowerment Clinic at UC Hastings College of the Law.
A Greener Business – This law office employs sustainable business practices by using technology to operate a paperless office as much as possible; by using recycled and recyclable office supplies; by using energy-efficient office equipment; and by having this website hosted on servers powered solely by wind energy.
